Who We Are
Pierce County Meats is a family owned and operated business striving to provide quality product to the Ellsworth Community and surrounding areas.
Jeff and Julie Farris have owned and operated Pierce County Meats (previously named Ellsworth Locker) since 1998 when they purchased the business from Frank Gruber and are active members of the community being proud sponsors of the Ellsworth Wrestling Team since purchasing the business.
Jeff began his career in the meat industry back in 1979 at Iowa Beef Processors (IBP) and also worked at Long Prairie Packing Company before following his dream of becoming a business owner! Starting out at Pierce County Meats as the on-the-farm butcher and head meat cutter, Jeff still fills in today as a "hands on owner". His wife Julie oversees all operations in the smoke kitchen as well as all product packaging and retail sales.
Pierce County Meats currently has 5 employees and they supply product to 2 local bar & grills and 1 café to serve in their establishments.
